Notes: CAPE! -- Just kidding. Um, first time drawing Clark, ever. The arms are weird, the anatomy is generally a bit weird, and maybe I should be saving my own critisism until the end so you can actually see the piece and form your own opinion? Oh-kay.

I only used four markers on this. Ha. I think it gives it a little something, along with the sucky shading. Hm. I don't know what I was actually going for in terms of the look of the piece. I was watching Superman Returns while drawing it, though, so maybe something rubbed off, or something?

So... I bought some markers the other day, and I was just scribbling with them while watching MTV. Everything is cartoonish, which is how MTV generally makes me feel, so I basically wasn't paying attention to anatomy beyond the obvious.

I think he's cute though, so I decided to share with y'all.

Somewhere in my mind Max is standing just to the side along with some huge disaster. I was planning on drawing that, but I ran outta room on the paper.

So, my semester ends tomorrow, and I am so excited I can't even believe it. Nothing to do for the holidays except be lazy, open presents, and have way too much fun with my friends. I might see my family a bit too, but that's really a non-issue.

I got fudge in the mail from my grandma yesterday, and it is so tasty. I love having a family that enjoys cooking. Speaking of which, I made enchiladas for dinner tonight, and I swear that would be all I would eat if I could. They are about the tastiest thing in the world. It takes a lot of pots and pans to make, and the clean up takes a while, but that doesn't matter as soon as you start eating.

So yes, with all this time spent on getting my classes finished and thinking about Christmas I haven't had any time to do any art or writing, or even taking my usual hikes or practicing ballet. And it sucks because I know I'm doing important stuff, but when I don't exercise or be creative as much as usual I end up feeling like a slob.

Notes: You can totally tell I've spent time with Young Justice comics, right? I hate the way his jacket came out, and I had zero reference for the angle I drew him at. There is something totally wrong with his hair. I don't think I get better with time when it comes to art, at least not after my hand starts to cramp and I'm all "hell with the detail!".

So anyway, same with the commenting as always. I love it. Sometimes I think I live off of it. Any critique is welcome, because every artist needs work, and I'm certainly not the best.

In other news, I bought the most rockin' awesome hiking boots yesterday! They're black, and look weirdly like the ones Impulse use to wear. Heh. They also make my naturally big feet look huuge. But I love them.

I love days when I don't have anything to do, and the weather is bad enough that no one can really force me to do anything with them. It's so windy here I'm basically counting the seconds between branches falling off trees and nearly killing things.

HOLY! The power just went out. I guess something really did get killed. I swear, right now as I finished typing the above paragraph thingy the power goes off, and now I'm running on limited battery power. Damn. Now, which lights were turned on? I'm so bad at remembering things like that. *sigh*

And I was just thinking about how I could rewatch every Batman episode I own just because no one was around to stop me. Heh. Guess this is the universe's way of telling me to stop slacking off and finish my homework. So weird that it happens now, though. What am I going to do for lunch if I can't make soup? I was planning on that.

ETA: Okay, so I phoned in the outage. The power should be back by five.

I'm not dead, I'm just very busy with Christmas shopping, driving sisters to airports, and taking care of dogs that I really don't like all that much. So, yes. I have a bit of artish things too, that I actually could scan if I wanted to drag my scanner into the living room. But that seems like an awful lot of work right now, and then I'd have to edit them up and everything, and that's so blah on paint (I still don't have anything like PS *sob*).

Other news. Right.

There's something about today that makes me either write in chopped sentences or run-ons, and it's fucking annoying, because there's this one fic idea I have that would be fun to write if I even could, and yeah. Totally doing it again. Shit.

I'm swearing an awful lot today too. God. Maybe taking advil for my headache was a bad idea. It always makes me wonky.

It's very windy here at my house today. Leaves everywhere. Oh, and I have a Christmas tree, now, but it hasn't been decorated yet. See, told you I was busy.

Ohzmigosh, I am such a freak sometimes. I mean, I swear.

I think this is one of those days where watching eps with Timmy would be a bad idea, but I really, really want to.

Practicing somersaults a day before ballet class is a really bad idea. My back hurts so much now, since it hadn't really relaxed all the way after being landed on so many times, and then we were doing a bunch of new stuff, and seemed everything was designed to make you either keep your back strait while your legs are doing a bunch of weird shit (which is really hard even if it doesn't seem so -- try keeping your hips and back strait while lifting one leg parallel to the side of your body) or having to pretty much hyper-extend your back (ouch, ouch, ouch). And okay, my back is unusually strong, and most of the time I'm good at this kind of thing, but I was already sore, and just, ouch, a lot.

Thankfully my ballet teacher took pity on me, and didn't make me do everything perfectly like I'm suppose to. I love her so much sometimes. And it was fun 'cause when we doing leaps, she was playing this really crazy Irish music, and we kept mixing up our sets with jigging. And yeah, I like my ballet class. We're all such dorks sometimes.

On other ballet news, I need a new leotard, and I'm unsure of the color I want. Usually I just get black, but that's so boring, and there's no way I'm going for pink. *sigh* I actually don't have the money, really, for a new one. Maybe I'll ask for one for Christmas? My sister would go for that. Oh, I need some new tights too. Hum. Too many color choices.

I still think I'm getting sick, and it probably didn't help that I was doing somesaults yesterday, and probably ended up on my back more times than on my feet. I'm better with cartwheels than somersaults, because I can never seem to get the right amount of momentum. First I use to much and trip on the landing, then I overcompensate the next time and end up on my back. *sigh* It looks so easy on the tv shows too.

I'm totally skipping school today, but seriously it's a mile walk to the bus stop (because I don't have the car today because my dad needs it, and I can't drive the stick shift in his truck without killing myself), and thirty degrees outside. I live twenty minutes from the beach, was I suppose to own a heavy jacket? Plus, I feel like I'm on the verge of getting sick, and I have a headache. So there. It's only PE and Japanese anyway.

Getting sick is fucking awful. Seriously, I'm huddled up with tea and popping vitamins every other minute. I don't want to get sick! There's way too much for me to do to get sick.

*sighs and mopes* Well, at least I have Batman Beyond, and homework to distract myself.

Did you know that listening to a baby monitor for an extended period of time can make you reeeally sleepy? I keep trying to concentrate on all the beta work I have sitting on my hard drive, but then I'm lulled into this pleasant dreamy state and I can no longer work on anything. Plus, I'm at my sister's house, and that always makes me feel a bit off.

I got icons though. So I can at least be a bit proud over that.

So, seriously, I need to, like, say something about myself, or something.

The only thing that comes to mind is that I'm some sort of quazi dancer, and this probably only because I feel lazy and stupid because I missed a lot of dance class due to Thanksgiving.

I take ballet. That's right. Hardcore Ballet lyke woah. I'm best at the leaps, and spotting. I'm also really flexible. I can both put my feet behind my head, and do the splits.

So don't mess with me.

The only fandom I am really truly 'in' is Batman Beyond. I've been obsessed with the show since I was five years old, running around in a cape, and doing handsprings off the sofa. I follow Harry Potter, and some DC comics, but I don't know every detail about everything. I've actually only been reading comics for about...three months.

I roleplay a bit, too. Nothing fandom, though.

I'm Hemlock, and we're just gonna say that's my name so I can avoid embarrassment, and anger directed towards my parents. Okay? Great.

Now, lemme just say that I was a bit hesitant about the whole livejournal thing for a long time. I mean, I don't really have any use for one.

- Art frustrates me.
- My writing happens about one a century.
- Life for me consists of staring at a computer screen, and wondering over the state of today's English teachers.
- I'm not a people person.

I like looking at other people's work though, and one of my friends pointed out that it wasn't really fair for me not to comment on the things I read.
